MONROE - The fourth annual Tyler Pierce Memorial Tournament, an event created after the passing of Tyler Pierce to raise awareness and funds toward suicide prevention in Green County, will be held Aug. 1 through 3 at the Juda Community Park.
The event will include men's and co-ed softball, volleyball and bags. Entertainment will be held Friday and Saturday evening, along with a Memorial Balloon Launch at 8:45 p.m. Saturday to honor loved ones lost.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Tyler Pierce Memorial Tournament event will stay within the Green County area. This past year, the foundation hosting the event awarded three scholarships to area graduating seniors in Brodhead, Juda and New Glarus and sponsored Dr. Justin Patchin to speak on cyberbullying to the school districts within the Green County area.
