MONROE — Tickets are now available for Sunday Unleashed, an afternoon in the country filled with art, music, food and more — with proceeds benefitting the Green County Humane Society.

Dr. David and Julie Buchanan are hosting this year’s event, set for 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at their home, W4610 Burkhalter Road, Monroe.

Formerly known as Whine in the Woods, this event offers guests a chance to try a variety of wine; local craft beers from New Glarus Brewing Company, Pecatonica Beer Company and Bullquarian Brewhouse; and food by Russ Brown of Pancho & Lefty’s Outlaw Grill, Patrick Doyle of Bullet’s Restaurant, Jeff Ewald of Buggyworks, Eric Ekum of Turner Hall-Ratskeller, Cherri Bell of Twisted Tree Eatery in Monticello and Kurt Kline at Bäckeri Kline. A variety of artisan cheeses will also be served.

Live music will be performed throughout the afternoon by Ken Wheaton, solo vocalist and acoustic, finger-style guitarist. Art and other handcrafted items donated by local artists will also be sold, including original paintings, pottery, homemade desserts, jewelry and wooden décor. A wine pull is also planned.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 608-325-9600, stopping at the shelter at N3156 Wisconsin 81, Monroe, or visiting www.greencountyhumane.org.

Registration deadline is Sept. 3.
