MONROE - The Monroe Sons of Norway Ostestaden lodge will hold their annual Christmas party at 6 p.m. Dec. 10 at the World Buffet, Monroe.
Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. Those interested in attending may sign up by calling Maren at 608-325-3248.
There will be holiday music and a play on Norwegian Christmas traditions, as well as a gift exchange. Attendees should bring a gift valued at $5 that is suitable for anyone to receive.
The Monroe Sons of Norway lodge will also host a Norwegian bake sale on Dec. 11, beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until noon or whenever all goods have been sold. The sale will be at the Woodford Bank in Monroe.
Items for sale will include lefse, sandbakels, krumkake, fattigman and other Norwegian and American treats. Items to be donated for the sale can be delivered at the Christmas party or to Woodford Bank on the morning of the sale.
