NEW GLARUS — The 2022-2023 school year was a strong year for Advanced Placement students and staff.
Advanced Placement is a program offered through College Board, where students who take the Advanced Placement course and score a 3 or higher (on a 5 point scale) on the final test earn college credit for their efforts. Overall, New Glarus High School offers 14 Advanced Placement courses.
The results of the Advanced Placement tests revealed several important milestones for New Glarus High School students including:
● During the spring of 2023, more Advanced Placement tests were issued than ever before. There were 137 tests administered across 11 different subjects.
● In addition to the increase in the number of tests administered, New Glarus High School students passed 79% of the AP tests given. The pass rate of AP courses is 60% nationally.
● 21 students were recognized by College Board for their performance on Advanced Placement tests.
Four students received special recognition from the College Board. Those include:
