Monroe Arts Center announces photography contest

MONROE — For the 31st consecutive year, the Monroe Arts Center will sponsor the Photography Contest and Exhibit. Photographs entered in this contest will be on display at MAC from Sept. 22 to Oct. 30 at 1315 11th St., Monroe.

The contest is open to all non-professional photographers. 

Photographs must have been taken after Sept. 1, 2019 and be the first time entered in this contest. Each photographer is allowed to enter as many photographs as they wish. There will be cash and ribbon awards for Best of Show, 2nd Place, 3rd Place and 4th Place.

The judge for this year’s contest is Samuel Li, a full-time videographer/photographer based in Madison. 

The Monroe Arts Center is opening the Galleries in accordance with guidelines set forth by the American Alliance of Museums. Changes in reopening may be made periodically in response to rapidly changing public health concerns. Viewing is by appointment only. Call 608-325-5700 to schedule an appointment.
