GCGS Friday Fun Day Oct. 16

MONROE — The Green County Genealogical Society (GCGS) will hold its Friday Fun Day October 16 from 1-3 p.m. in the research center located in the lower level of the Monroe Public Library.

This week’s program will be “Using Astrology to Get to Know Your Ancestors” by Amy Hunt.

For millennia, people have sought the wisdom of astrology to get to know themselves better. Why not get to know our ancestors in this way also? Natal charts can reveal spectacular details about a person’s life. The more information about the birth we have, the more information about their life we can know. Amy will present the basics of using astrology and ideas on interpreting ours and our ancestors’ charts

Hunt has researched genealogy for over two decades and recently added the interest of astrology in hopes to get an idea of what her ancestors were like. Hunt started her astrology pursuits around October 2025 with the entrance of an interstellar comet into our solar system, which turned her attention to influential celestial energies in motion. Hunt is a self-taught astrology student and now applies the practice to add depth in her genealogy hobby.
