The bride-to-be, a 1998 graduate of Black Hawk High School and a 2000 graduate of Southwest Technical College, Fennimore, with a degree in business administration, is a 2004 graduate of University of Wisconsin-Platteville, with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.
The future groom is a 1999 graduate of River valley High School, Spring Green, and a 2004 graduate of University of Wisconsin-Platteville, with a degree in physical education, health and adaptive physical education. He is employed as the physical education teacher and a coach at Black Hawk School District.
