MONROE - The award-winning 2008 film "Blue Gold: World Water Wars" by Sam Bozzo will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the second-floor meeting room of the Monroe Public Library.
The film examines environmental and political implications of the planet's dwindling water supplies and highlights the work of water conservation activists around the world.
The event is sponsored by the non-partisan volunteer group Monroe United to Amend, in conjunction with Green County United to Amend (GCUTA.org). The event is free, open to the public, informational and not affiliated with any political party.
There will be a social time for discussion following the film and refreshments will be served.
