JUDA — The Youth Fellowship of the Juda Zion and Oakley Union United Methodist Churches held a food drive on Nov. 6. The turn out from the community surpassed expectations with approximately 575 pounds of food collected.

The food has been divided between the Green County Food Pantry in Monroe (396 pounds) and the Little Blue Food Pantry (178 pounds). The Little Blue Food Pantry can be found at the Juda Zion church (N2350 Church Road in Juda) on the lower level. This food pantry is available 24/7 for those in the community who need an extra hand.

Church leaders thank all from the church and the community who took the time to bring donations; Dennis Pfingsten and the Youth Fellowship for organizing the collection; and Leanne Severson (food pantry coordinator) and Carol Davis (church food pantry coordinator) for helping with the distribution of the food.
