UW-Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT — The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point honored more than 2,275 undergraduate students from its campuses in Marshfield, Stevens Point and Wausau for attaining high grade point averages during the fall semester of the 2019-20 academic year.

Full-time undergraduate students who earned highest honors had grade points of 3.90 to 4.0, high honors had grade point averages from 3.75 to 3.89 and honors had grade point averages from 3.50 to 3.74.

Highland Community College

FREEPORT — Highland Community College announces the 2019 fall graduates. The 51 graduates were awarded associate degrees, associate of applied science degrees, or certificates.

Monroe: Cory Newingham, graphic design-associate of applied science, graphic design certificate

Stockton: Natasha Rowe, associate of arts

Warren: Jeffrey Schelberger, associate of arts

Winslow: Sydni Aebly, associate of arts; Phylicia Blair, associate of arts


Olivet Nazarene University

BOURBONNAIS, Illinois — Sara Mohr, Brodhead, was named to the Olivet Nazarene University Fall Term Dean’s List. 

To qualify for inclusion on the Dean’s List, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.


University of Minnesota Duluth

DULUTH, Minnesota — Xena L. Meighan, Monroe, was named to the University of Minnesota Duluth Dean’s List for fall semester 2019. Students on the Dean’s List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.


UW-Whitewater

WHITEWATER —  Marilyn Farias, Juda, who is studying music at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, has been named to the clarinet section of the 2019-20 Whitewater Symphony Orchestra.


Central College

PELLA, Iowa — Kale Weis of Monroe, is one of 44 Central College students participating in the college’s new Career Kickstarter program, a free, one-week program that offers micro-internship opportunities and the opportunity to explore potential career paths. Weis is completing a micro-internship with Vermeer Corporation.
