Purchase for Paws sale starts April 26

MONROE - Purchase for Paws, the garage and bake sale benefiting the Green County Humane Society, will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 26 and Friday, April 27, as well as from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 28 at the Monroe Auto Sales, 101 W. 8th St. The bake sale will only be held on April 26.

Donated items for the sale can be dropped off at Monroe Auto Sales from noon to 5 p.m. Monday, April 23 and Tuesday, April 24, as well as from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 25. Bake sale items may be brought on April 25 or early morning April 26.

Items not accepted include adult clothing or shoes, though infant clothing is accepted; computers; printers; outdated microwaves or television sets and ceiling fans.

Monroe

SARP masquerade ball is Saturday

MONROE - The Sexual Assault Recovery Program's second annual Masquerade Ball will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Monroe Country Club, 2205 21st St.

The night features gourmet desserts, dancing and a silent auction. Masks are optional and will be available at the event. A cash bar will also be available. Music is by DJ Wyatt Herrmann.

All proceeds will benefit the continuation of services and art therapy for Green County survivors and their families. Sponsorship opportunities are available at all levels, including: $100, $200, $300 and $400.
