Applications now available for the 2026-2027 Green County Leaders Class

MONROE — Green County Leaders is seeking motivated individuals who are interested in learning, self-discovery, community issues, and networking.

Green County Leaders is a program designed to help build community leadership. Green County Leaders runs from September to May. It focuses on leadership skills, networking, and learning about community issues. This iteration of the program has been in Green County for 23 years and has over 500 alumni.

In the 2025-2026 course, participants connected with over 100 community leaders around Green County. Sessions provided opportunities to connect with community leaders sharing how they apply and hone leadership skills. Additionally, participants learned about opportunities to lean into exploring community issues. The program includes a number of unique experiences, including community projects, community awareness activities, and an intentional visit to the Wisconsin capitol. Sessions focus on building community leadership skills and raising awareness of community issues, including local government, economic development, natural resources, creativity, non-profits, civic engagement, deliberative dialogue, and more.

As as result of the 2025-2026 class’s participation in Green County Leaders:

● 100% feel more connected to Green County;

● 100% have expanded their professional networks;

● 100% are more open to conversations across different perspectives;

● 96% strengthened their growth mindset; and

● 93% are more effective in their current employment.

Applications will be accepted until July 10. Tuition assistance is available for qualifying participants.
