Dale E. and Louise M. (Hintz) Roenneburg were married in 1945 and will celebrate their 74th wedding anniversary April 8 with a family gathering at their home at N2635 County GG, Brodhead.
Dale is a retired U.S. Army officer with 23 years of service in all military grades up to major. He is 100 percent combat-disabled and a veteran of four wars: World War 2, Korea twice, Vietnam and the Cold War. He will celebrate his 95th birthday April 5.
Louise was a graduate of cosmopolitan school and worked in Janesville at the former Birky Hair Salons.
They had two daughters, Lureen and Carolyn, and served in Germany for three years and Japan for 3 1/2 years.
Lureen Honig is retired in El Paso, Texas, and has two daughters: Renee (Michael) Viens, with sons Nicholas and Andrew in Tewksbury, Massachusetts; and Heather Honig, with daughter Megan (Taylor) Parr.
The late Carolyn (William) Zeiger had one daughter, Stephanie (Ted) Stager, who has one daughter, Emma, in Macomb, Michigan.
