It turned out to be a troubling night along the bank of the Six Rivers.

Both the Pecatonica-Argyle and Black Hawk wrestling squads ran into buzzsaws Thurday night. The Vikings fell, 52-19, to Waunkee and the Warriors were pinned down by Prairie du Chien, 60-12.

Riley Sigg (152 pounds) and Brandon Barnes (189) both won by pinfall for Pec-Argyle. 160-pound senior Jake Kaempfer and 112-pounder Dusty Weber both picked up pins for Black Hawk.

The Vikings get a nine-day break before resuming action Jan. 12 with a trip to the Ithaca Tournament. The Warriors, on the other hand, turn around to travel to the Goose Lake Tournament in Iowa this Saturday.
