MONONA - Tuesday night's hockey game against a stout Monona Grove team ended up being a shootout for the Silver Eagles, as they crusied to a 20-0 win over the Monroe co-op.

The host Eagles were able to compile eight, seven, and five goals in the game's respective periods in a game that was a lopsided offensive affair.

The Avalanche (4-10, 0-9) wrap up their season on Saturday against Grafton. Monroe received a No. 10 seed in the regional tournament and will play at seventh-seeded Greendale co-op at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18 at Wilson Park.
