MONROE - Senior Heather Barta received honorable mention Badger South All-Conference honors recently.
Barta averaged 5.9 points per game for the Cheese-makers. Monroe finished the season 2-22. The Cheese-makers upset Mount Horeb in the regional quarterfinal 47-33 and then lost to Madison Edgewood 55-36. Edgewood had four players named first team all-conference led by unanimous selection Amanda Kelm. Kelm was one of four unanimous all-conference selections. The other unanimous all-conference selections were Milton senior Morgan Blumer, Monona Grove junior Taylor Nelson and Monona Grove junior Alexa Kelsey.
