BRODHEAD — The Cardinals hosted Turner and Whitewater in a triangular on Tuesday, April 18, where five athletes and two relays placed first.

RIVER RIDGE MEET
PATCH GROVE — River Ridge hosted seven other teams in its track meet on Tuesday, April 18: Platteville, Black Hawk, Albany, Pecatonica-Argyle, Belmont, Lancaster and Monticello.
Black Hawk girls finished third with 63 points. They had two first-place finishers in Raylin Peterson and Jaliyah Collins. Peterson improved upon her shot put record with a throw of 40-07, while Collins won the discus with a distance of 108-05. The boys took fifth with 61 points.
Pecatonica-Argyle finished fourth in both girls and boys meets with 57.5 and 74 points, respectively. The Vikings had two first-place individuals and two championship relays:

The Albany boys took third with 114.5 points behind first-place finishes from Gage Roth and Caleb Smith. Roth ran the 3200-meter in 11:20.19, while Smith recorded a throw of 40-02 in the shot put. The Lady Comets took fifth with 55 points. Ava Ahnen was the lone champion, running the 800-meter in 2:39.33.
Monticello finished eighth in both boys and girls meets with 9 and 14 points, respectively. Danica Altman recorded the only first-place finish for the Ponies. She leapt 28-02.75 in the triple jump.
