DARLINGTON — The Redbirds hosted the annual Ringen Invite on Friday, Aug. 21. Parkview won the event with a combined score of 383, while Turner (400) edged out Mount Horeb (404) for third. Darlington (521) was seventh.

Adaline Riechers led the Redbirds with a 116 over 18 holes. Sarina Ford (126), Rose Gruetzmacher (138) and Melany Reese (141) all scored for Darlington.

Parkview’s Taytum Oswald was the medalist, shooting a two-over-par 72, 14 strokes ahead of Lancaster’s Margot Dhyanchand and Mount Horeb’s Ella Baber, who tied with an 86 each.

Then, on Aug. 26, the Redbirds traveled to play Trappers Turn in Wisconsin Dells at an SWC Mini Meet. Darlington (241) finished fourth, with Wisconsin Dells (194) finishing 25 strokes ahead of second-place Lancaster (219).

Riechers again led Darlington, this time carding a 51 at the nine-hole meet. Ford (62), Gruetzmacher (63) and Anyka Johnson (65) all scored.

Lancaster’s Dhyanchand was the medalist, shooting a 46.
