ELKHORN — The Cheesemakers fell behind by 12 at halftime and couldn’t recover, losing 69-50 to Elkhorn Dec. 4.
Senior Kade King scored 11 points to lead Monroe, which also got nine from freshman JT Seagreaves and eight from freshman Carson Leuzinger. Elkhorn (3-0) had three players in double figures, with Chance Larson leading the way with 19.
Monroe (2-2, 1-0 Badger South) was next scheduled to host Oregon (2-2, 1-0) Dec. 7 and then travel Dec. 11 to Monona Grove (4-0, 1-0).
Darlington 63, Mineral Point 53
MINERAL POINT — The Redbirds picked up a major win early in the season. The 10-point victory over second-ranked Mineral Point moves the Redbirds to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the SWAL.
Carter Lancaster and Stryker Fitzsimons each had a double-double for Darlington. Lancaster had 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Fitzsimons scored 19 points to go with 11 boards.
Brayden Dailey had 17 and Isaac Lindsey had 15 for Mineral Point.
Darlington trailed 36-32 at halftime but stymied the Pointers to just 17 points in the second half.
Mineral Point came into the season as one of the top-ranked teams in the state and now have a 1-2 record and are looking up at unbeaten Cuba City and Darlington in the conference standings. Mineral Point and Darlington square off again Jan. 18 in Darlington.
Brodhead 54, Clinton 41
CLINTON — Cade Walker scored 17 points to lead Brodhead to its first Rock Valley win of the season Dec. 4.
The Cardinals (2-1, 1-1) led 29-26 at halftime, weathering the storm of four Cougar 3-pointers. In the second half, Brodhead held Clinton (0-2) to just 15 points in the second half.
Connor Green had seven points in the first half and nine in the game. Cody Malcook also had nine points for Brodhead.
Clinton’s Riley Anastasi led the Cougars with 12.
The Cardinals were scheduled to host Jefferson (3-1, 1-1) Dec. 7 and travel to Beloit Turner (0-2, 0-1) Dec. 13.

JUDA — The Panthers lost back-to-back games at home, first a 22-point nonconference loss to Warren Dec. 3 and then a Dec. 4 conference loss to Monticello.
In the game against Warren, Trent Anderson led Juda with 11 points, while Quinton Kammerer and Dogukan Yetgin each had eight points. The Warriors had three players in double figures — Mitchell Wolff (11), Noah Wulfekuhle (15) and Ethan Williams (12). Warren had seven 3s and went 15-for-21 from the charity stripe in the game.
Against Monticello (3-1, Six Rivers East), Ponies sophomore Peter Gustafson finished with 29 points — including 20 in the second half and went 5-for-6 at the free throw line — to lead all scorers. Teammate Reece Rufer scored 18 and went 6 of 7 from the stripe in the second half. Simon Blohowiak and Devin Holtz each scored eight for Monticello.
Dominic Taylor led the Panthers (0-5, 0-1) with 21 points, while Anderson had nine and Kammerer eight.
Juda was scheduled to play Pecatonica (4-1, 1-0) Dec. 7 and at Belmont (0-2) Dec. 10. Monticello is off until a road game at Albany Dec. 13.

ARGYLE — Colby Argall scored 30 and Conner Meyer had 26 to lead the Warriors to an early conference win Dec. 4.
Argall finished the game 10 of 16 from the field with two 3-pointers and was 8 of 15 from the free throw line. Meyer was 9 of 20 from the field, 3 of 8 from beyond the arc and hit 5 of 8 shots from the stripe. Meyer also hauled in 10 rebounds, while Tyler Triem had nine and Kyle Lovelace seven for Black Hawk. Argall had six rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Pecatonica 55, Barneveld 36
BARNEVELD — Jaden Hendrickson stayed hot, scoring 28 points to lead all scorers and earn Pecatonica its fourth victory of the season.
The Vikings led the Eagles (0-4, 0-1) 24-16 lead at halftime. Colton Schraepfer scored 16 points in the contest for Pecatonica, which also got six from Carter Ruegsegger.
Pecatonica (4-1, 1-0 Six Rivers East) were scheduled to host Juda Dec. 7 and travel to Black Hawk Dec. 13.
In other area scores, Albany picked up a 63-51 road win at Belmont Dec. 4.
