DARLINGTON — The Redbirds moved to 3-0 on the season with a sweep of Boscobel Sept. 22, winning 25-22, 25-15, 25-19.
Sydney Beasley stole the show, leading the Redbirds in kills (13), aces (2) and blocks (3). Laura Sturtz added 18 assists.
Boscobel got three blocks from Gretta Grassel and six kills from Sarah Knowles.
Monticello 3, Barneveld 1
BARNEVELD — Monticello needed four sets to get past the Eagles Sept. 21, winning 25-14, 18-25, 25-16, 25-18.
Ellie Gustafson had 26 kills and nine digs to lead the Ponies. Hannah Clark had six kills and three blocks. Mackie Errthum aced three serves, while Alexa Siegenthaler had 26 assists. Freshman Jaden Zuber added 11 digs.
Barneveld was led by Leah Marx with 10 kills, while teammate Zoe Schmitz had nine kills and four aces. Kennedy Gordon dished out 20 assists, Shelbi Marx finished with 17 digs, and Leah Marx and Mya Baker each had a block.
Black Hawk 3, Pecatonica 0
SOUTH WAYNE — The Warriors swept the Vikings Sept. 21, 25-13, 25-19, 25-14.
Bailey Butler had 30 kills to lead all hitters, while Tara Wellnitz added a block, Makayla Mau finished with three aces and Macie Stauffacher tallied 26 assists for Black Hawk.
Lexi Peterson led the Vikings with five kills and two blocks. Tessa Green added two aces for Pecatonica, which also received 10 assists from Sydney Eaton.
