Brodhead-Juda senior Gabe Bockhop announced his commitment to play baseball at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse via social media on Wednesday, Oct. 30. “It’s a great feeling knowing all the hard work when I was a little kid paid off — all the late nights hitting. Not many kids get to do it,” Bockhop said. He chose UWL for its reputation and coaching staff. “I chose La Crosse because of the coaches. Overall they are a great program — considered a D3 powerhouse,” Bockhop said. The Eagles were 36-16 last season, falling in a Division 3 super regional against eventual national runner-up UW-Whitewater. Bockhop was named the Rock Valley-Rock Player of the Year in 2024, hitting .353 with 21 walks.
