JANESVILLE — Four teenagers participated in the PGA Junior Tour golf tournament Friday at the Riverside Country Club in Janesville.
Monroe’s Noah Becker, who will be a junior in the fall, shot a 10-over-par 82 and tied for ninth place in the 16-18 year-old division. Becker carded two birdies, seven pars, six bogeys and three double bogeys. Joseph Forsting of Edgerton shot an even-par 72 to take medalist honors.
The other Monroe players who competed include Brennan Boyce, who shot a 109 in the 14-15 age group, and James Boyce and Joe Rufenacht in the 12-13 age division. James Boyce carded a 112 to tie for 13th and Rufenacht shot a 118 to finish 15th. The quartet of Monroe golfers are members of the Mike Muranyi Youth program at the Monroe Golf Club.
Lancaster’s Noah Kirsch shot a 3-over-par 75 to win medalist honors in the 14-15 age group. Alwang Deang also shot a 3-over-par 75 to take medalist honors in the 12-13 age division.
The next tournament is June 22 at the Beloit Golf Club.
