LIVINGSTON - Darlington's volleyball team won the first game of its season, but lost the first match Thursday.
The Redbirds suffered a tough 3-1 loss at Iowa Grant in their season opener. Iowa-Grant won the match 23-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-15. Senior Cassie Fink starred in the loss for Darlington with four kills and four blocks. Junior Paige Champion had 12 assists for the Redbirds. who next play on Saturday in the UW-Platteville Invite along with Argyle and Black Hawk.
