DARLINGTON - The Redbirds improved their early season record to 3-0 with a 57-36 thumping of Mineral Point.

Amy Jorgenson scored a game-high 19 points and dished out five assists for Darling-ton (2-0 SWAL) and Cassidy Chambers added 15 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals.

"We ended with 18 team assists," Darlington head coach Mike Chambers said. "It was a nice night of moving the basketball around."

Darlington led 10-4 after the first quarter and 24-14 at halftime. But a 16-4 run in the third quarter put the game out of reach.

"We had that big third quarter again. We took control of the game at that point," Mike Chambers said.
