OREGON - The Monroe girls swimming team set 18 personal records in a dual meet the Cheesemakers lost to Oregon 106-61 Tuesday, Sept. 25.
"The girls swam with energy even though several of them are still battling illness," Monroe coach Linda Moser said.
Monroe freshman Skylar Lassen finished first in the 200-meter individual medley with a PR time of 2 minutes, 58.46 seconds and she was second in the 400 freestyle with a PR of 5:32.27.
Monroe senior Angie Beaver finished second in the 200 freestyle (2:40.47) and second in the 100 freestyle (1:11.07).
Monroe sophomore Grace Moehn took third in the 200 freestyle with a PR of 2:40.56 and third in the 100 freestyle with a PR of 1:13.42. Sophomore Anna Meritt finished third place in the 100 butterfly with a PR of 1:33.91. Monica Sefcik set PRs in the 400 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.
