Richard Dean Gobeli “Dick”, 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2024, in Winter Park, FL.

Rich was born on May 24, 1951, to Theodore and Myra Gobeli. He proudly served as an Army Veteran and dedicated many years as a firefighter. Rich was also a successful business owner, founding and running Rescue Auto Glass.

Rich is survived by his beloved wife, Gerry (Zumbach) Gobeli; his children, William (Tamara) Ammann and Pamela (Jimmy Jones) Powers; and niece, Breanna Guerra. He was a proud grandfather to Cody, Madisyn, Abbigail, Ethan, Krishna, Myriah, Omar, Xi, Savanna, Lane, and Garrett, and a loving great-grandfather.

He is further survived by four brothers and two sisters: Randy (Teresa), Ron (Vickie), Jerry (Ernestina), Dave (Lori), Wendy (Frank) Warner, and Vicki (Joe) Pizzolato; sisters-in-law, Lisa and Bonnie; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Bradly and Zachary; his two brothers, Dan and Martin; and his nephew, Corey.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Saucerman Cemetery immediately followed by a Celebration of Rich’s Life and luncheon at the American Legion in Monroe from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Though he was a man of few words, he was quick witted, and his sense of humor brought laughter to those around him, as his sharp and funny remarks never failed to brighten our days. His legacy of love and service will live on in our hearts.
