Jon B. Ammon, age 49, of Durand, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at his home. Jon was born on August 16, 1968 in Freeport, IL, the son of John and Peg (Logeson) Ammon. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1986.

Jon was a Technical Advisor for ADP. He was a member of the Durand Snowmobile Club, Durand Lions Club and the State Line Trail Blazer Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed annual snowmobile trips out west and fishing trips to northern Wisconsin. He was a beloved Packers fan and shareholder. He also loved tailgating at Brewers games and was a very loyal Badgers fan. Jon had a love of microbrews, craft beer festivals and swap meets.

He is survived by his special friend: Jayne Huettl of Lombard, IL; father, John (fiance Mary Jo Goecks) Ammon of Monroe, WI and mother, Peg (Jim) Roddick of Eagle River, WI; son, Jonathon Bryce Ammon; daughters, Brittany Ammon and Brooke (Seth) Lovell; 4 grandchildren: Elena and Rowan Ammon and Owen and Amelia Lovell all of Charleston, IL; brothers, Rudy of Juda, WI, Mark of Cedarburg, WI and Erik (Leah) of Bettendorf, IA; sisters, Sara (Pete) Leutenegger of Monroe, WI and Melinda (Chad) Baker of Loren, IL; and step-siblings, Michelle, Kevin, Tami, DeeAnna, Darin, and Kim; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by twin children, Kayleigh and Kyle; stepmother, Bonnie Ammon; maternal grandparents, Bob and Tiny Logeson; paternal grandparents, Rudy and Alice Ammon, and Mary Ammon; uncle, Richard Ammon, and nephew, Logan Ammon.

A Memorial Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Dr. Monroe, WI. Burial will be held at a later date in York Cemetery.
