Jerome Donald “J.D” Wild, age 62 of Monroe, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 at his home. He was born the son of Elver and Frances (Bidlingmeier) Wild on January 5, 1957 in Monroe. He was a 1975 graduate of Monroe High School. Jerome was united in marriage to Tracy Ann Thompson on February 14, 1987 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Monroe.

J.D. was a lifelong farmer in Green County, he worked alongside his family taking care of dairy and beef cattle with his trusty Bobcat “Robert”. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, singing karaoke, sudoku, playing cards especially winning in euchre, as well as watching the Green Bay Packers.

J.D. is survived by his wife, Tracy of Monroe; his children, Gabriel Wild of Stoughton, Jacob (fiancé Riley York) Wild of Stoughton, Hannah (Kyle) Wild of Janesville, and Isaac Wild of Belleville; his first grandchild who is expected to arrive in February; three brothers, Gary (Millie) Wild, Dave (Betty) Wild, and Don (Judy) Wild all of Monroe; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Chad Thompson; and grand-puppies, Gizmo, Spot, Tank, Bau, Lambeau, and Maci.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Larry Wild.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019 from 4:00-7:00PM at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at shriner111.com.
