James von Arx, age 69, of Browntown passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the SSM Health Hospice Home in Monroe.  He was born the son of Carl and Mary (Wampfler) von Arx on February 16, 1953 in Monroe.  He graduated for Lena High School in 1971.  James most recently worked at Jack Links in New Glarus.

James is survived by his sons, Ken, Joseph, William, and Brian von Arx of Woodruff, WI and Joseph von Arx of Rockford, IL; sister, Dorothea von Arx of New Glarus; aunt, Deloris Wampfler; and nephew and niece, Stephen von Arx and Sherry Bryne.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Virgil and Kenneth von Arx; aunts and uncles, Viola von Arx, Ruth (Robert) von Arx, Ruthie von Arx, Harold Wampfler, Bev (Stan) Howe, and Joyce Blum.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Highland Cemetery in Monticello at 11:00 AM with Pastor Scott Cernek officiating.
