James Stewart Zuber, age 63, of Monroe, passed away on Monday, October 2nd, 2023, at SSM St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born September 29th, 1960, in Monroe and graduated from New Glarus High School in 1978. James was united in marriage to Kalyn Felderman on October 13th, 1989 in New Glarus.
Jim was a master sausage maker and proud owner of Zuber's Sausage Kitchen for over 30 years. He lived spontaneously, always seeking a new adventure. He always looked for the humor in life, was a witty conversationalist, and frequently pulled pranks on his friends. Jim had a soft spot for children and those less fortunate. He was an outdoorsman, loved birdwatching, and enjoyed long distance bicycle riding. He was proud of his Swiss heritage, and had quite a collection of Swiss wood carvings.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Donald J. and Lorraine A. (Johnson) Zuber of New Glarus.
Jim is survived by his former wife, Kalyn Zuber; daughter, Paula Zuber; bonus daughters, Sharon Kolbe and Nicole Bailey; grandchildren, Aven and Raleigh; brothers, Steve (Ruth) Zuber, Mike Zuber and Scott Zuber; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home will be held Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, followed by a service at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Don Wickstrum officiating.

Memorials in Jim’s name may be sent to the Breathe for Nonna Benefit at the Woodford State Bank. Wyonna Bunnell is a 7-year-old child who has two chronic progressive lung diseases.
