Dennis Lee Crouch

Dennis Lee Crouch, age 80, of Monticello passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 25, 2024. He was born on August 25, 1944 in Monroe, the son of Albert and Florence (Wittwer) Crouch.
Dennis grew up on a dairy farm west of Monticello, attended Marty Rural School, and graduated from Monticello High School in 1962.  He continued farming with his father until Albert’s retirement.  Later, Dennis discovered his love of trucking.  For the past 30 years and until just a few weeks ago, Dennis drove truck for several local trucking companies, most recently Strunz Milk transport.  If given a choice, he would still be sitting in that truck driver’s seat working long hours whenever and wherever he was needed.

Dennis is preceded in death by his beloved son, Alan Lee; and his parents, Albert and Florence, all of Monticello. Dennis is survived by his daughter Lynda (Larry) Caldwell; his fiancee, Judy Schwarz; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two brothers, Gene (Joan) of Stoughton, Norman (Lois) of Rogers, Minnesota; and his sister Sharon (Tim) Peterson of Siren, Wisconsin.  He will be deeply missed by many other nieces, nephews, family, co-workers and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Monticello. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A memorial fund will be established in Dennis’ name. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
