MOUNTAIN GROVE, MO/BELLEVILLE – Calvin W. Derendinger, age 97 passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs, MO. He was born on May 1, 1924 in Monroe, WI the son of Charles and Anna (Kleineschay) Derendinger. Cal attended the Dividing Ridge School, near Monticello, WI. On January 28, 1951 he was united in marriage to Caroline “Carrie” Genske at the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello. Cal first farmed with his brother Bob and then owned and operated his welding and repair business for many years. Later he would work with his sons customizing conversion vans with DP Designs. In 2013, Cal moved to Mountain Grove, MO. He was a member of the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello and had served on the consistory. During his time in Missouri, he attended the Evening Shade Baptist Church.

Calvin is survived by his children Joan (John) Judd and Paul (Vicki) Derendinger, grandchildren Laurie (Willie) Breuch, Andrew (Katey) Judd, Katie (Todd) Pederson, Kristie (Brad Johnson) Derendinger, Kellie Derendinger, Kasey Derendinger, and Tara (Brad) Miller, great-grandchildren Megan, Zane, Delaney, Finn, Lucy, and Charlie, sister-in-law Audrey (Rolf) Hansen nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carrie, son David, sisters Marie (Lawrence) Rosa, Laura (Fred) Ochsner, and Wilma (Ambrose) Wenger, and brothers Walt (Modesta), Bob (Dorothy), and Paul Derendinger.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, 416 East Lake Ave., Monticello, WI with the Rev. Lance Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Monticello, WI.

A visitation will precede the funeral service from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello.

The Zentner-Beal Funeral Home of New Glarus is assisting the family.
