Allen L. Cullen, age 64, of Monroe passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at his home.  He was born on April 18, 1960 the son of Eldon and Erma (Cullen) Derr in Wauwatosa.  Allen proudly served in the United States Navy from 1978 until 1982.  He was stationed on the U.S.N.S Kiska Ship in the Philippines.  Allen worked for Kelly Springfield in Freeport and later at Goodyear Tire in Union City, Tennessee.  He enjoyed playing cards, and watching the Chicago Bears and Cubs.

Allen is survived by his children, David and Trisha Cullen of Chisholm, MN and Dustin Brinkmeier of Freeport, IL; grandchildren, Braxton, Preston, Nevaeh, Miley, and Jada; siblings; Melanie Derr of Rockford, IL, Dennis (Teresa) Derr of Orangeville, IL, and Brian Derr of Freeport, IL; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Allen’s Life will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at The Ville Golf Course, 2001 W. St. James Rd., Orangeville, IL 61060.  Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Condolence may be sent to the family at: shgfuneralhome.net.
