MONROE - A Warren woman was Med-Flighted to a Madison hospital after being injured in a two-vehicle accident outside Monroe Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 29.
Holly N. Schlappi, 30, was westbound on Wisconsin 11 when she crossed the center line and struck an eastbound semi-truck driven by Derek Skattum, 23, Monroe, according to the Green County Sheriff's Department. The accident occurred at about 3:50 p.m. on Wis. 11 at Patterson Road in Monroe Township.
Schlappi was injured in the crash and transported to Monroe Clinic, and then taken by helicopter to University of Wisconsin Hospital. Skattum was injured, but declined medical transport, according to the sheriff's department.
Both vehicles were severely damaged and towed from the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
