MADISON, Wis. — Maj. Gen. Paul Knapp, Wisconsin’s adjutant general, and senior state and Wisconsin National Guard officials will welcome home approximately 260 Soldiers of the Wisconsin Army National Guard’s 157th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade at Dane County Regional Airport Saturday, July 29 at noon

Evers and Guard leaders will address the returning Soldiers, who recently completed a deployment in support of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, in Hangar 406A at the 115th Fighter Wing.

The Milwaukee-based unit previously deployed in 2011 to Kosovo, and the 157th Military Engagement Team, from the 157th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, mobilized to the Middle East in 2018.

The 157th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, also known as the Iron Brigade, traces its lineage to the 57th Field Artillery Brigade, which served in World War I and World War II.
