MONROE ­- The WhiskeyBelles promise an evening of entertainment as they help ring in Monroe Arts Center's holiday season at 7:30 p.m. today.

This all-female trio from Milwaukee feature three-part harmonies and their own hot fiddle, guitar and bass playing.

The WhiskeyBelles love to share the fun with their audience. Along with "Nothin' Says Christmas Like Whiskey" the concert will also feature seasonal songs like "Santa Lost a Ho," "White Christmas," "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas," and "Jing-a-Ling, Jing-a-Ling."

The members of the WhiskeyBelles are Sara Moilanen, Chrissy Dzioba and Kimmy Unger. Their sound has been compared to such music groups as the Pistol Annies, Dixie Chicks and "The Trio," Dolly Parton, Emmy Lou Harris, and Linda Ronstadt.

The 'Belles started together in May of 2011 and by July of the following year they released their independent debut album, "Whiskey Woman," which was named one of the "10 best local albums" by Milwaukee Magazine.

Their second album, "Nothin Says Christmas Like Whiskey," was released in November 2013. Since then, two more albums have been released: "Tales from the Bootleggers' Ball" in June 2015 and their newest album, "Dance in the Moonshine" in July.

They have opened for country stars including Charlie Daniels, Montgomery Gentry, The Lost Trailers, The Kentucky Headhunters and The Cadillac Three. The WhiskeyBelles perform over 65 shows a year. They also snagged the 2014 Wisconsin Area Music Industry's (WAMI) Americana/Bluegrass Artists of the Year and the coveted People's Choice Award.

Before the start of the WhiskeyBelles concert, the public is invited to an opening reception of MAC's annual Holiday Silent Auction at 6 p.m., where they can browse and bid on hundreds of items on display in MAC's Frehner Gallery
