MONROE - It took just one vote for the Green County Board of Supervisors to pick a chairman Tuesday.

It took three to select a second vice chair.

When the voting ended, the top three positions for the next two years will be the same as they were for the past two years.

Board Chairman Art Carter, who represents District 17, received 20 votes to remain chairman. Other candidates nominated for the position by the supervisors were Sue Disch, Harvey Mandel, Dennis Dalton and Lloyd Lueschow.

Second Vice Chairman Cal Wickline, who represents District 22, was re-elected after three ballots were cast. He received 17 votes on the final ballot.

Mandel, who represents District 13, was re-elected as first vice chair.

Fifteen votes, a simple majority of supervisors present, were needed for election. Supervisors Lloyd Lueschow and Bob Hoesly were absent.
