SHULLSBURG - The first annual Run/Walk to Remember in Lafayette County to remember family and friends who have lived with or are living with Alzheimer's and dementia will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Badger Park in Shullsburg.

Speakers and announcements will be at noon. The 2-mile family walk or 3K run will begin at 12:30 p.m. The event will end at 2 p.m.

The day's events include information, entertainment, food and fun.

The goal of the event is to raise awareness, give support and gather donations. The funds raised will be utilized within Lafayette County for education and financial scholarships to individuals and families who may need funding.

There are varying levels of sponsorship remaining: $500 silver level, which puts a logo/name on advertising; $250 bronze level, which puts a logo/name on advertising; and other amounts.
