People You Should Know: Dan Flynn

Dan Flynn is working as an intern doing research for the Monroe Department of Public Works this summer. So far, he has worked on the issues of stormwater pollution and insurance requirements for crop dusters wishing to use the Monroe Airport.

Director of Public Works Kelly Finkenbinder called him, "the right person at the right time."

Flynn is a junior at Winona State University in Minnesota. He is a double major in political science and public administration. The internship is a degree requirement.

Flynn graduated from Monroe High School in 2005, with interests in politics and public service. He intends to seek a doctorate degree in political science and hopes to become a professor and writer.

Last summer, Flynn worked as an intern in constituent services for Rep. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis. in Washington, D.C.

What do you do for fun?>

I listen to my iPod and work out, or hang out with friends and watch sports.

Who is your favorite sports team?>

Chicago Cubs

If you could invite three people, living or dead, to dinner, who would they be?>

Thomas Jefferson, John F. Kennedy and Jesus.

Who killed JFK?

Oh, wow, there are so many good ones ... Cameron Diaz, because I think she's gorgeous.
