Disassembled Ford vehicles were shipped to Monticello by railroad. They were then transported to the second floor of the Monticello Auto Company garage where they were assembled for the customers. The man in the center of the photo is Melvin "Peg" Lynn, later a prominent Monticello businessman. The garage building was located on a site now occupied by Gempeler's Supermarket on Main Street, Monticello. Photo circa 1914.
