Monroe Christmas tree lights need replacing

MONROE - Monroe Main Street and Monroe Chamber of Commerce are in need of replacing some of the lights on the Christmas tree located on the southeast corner of the courthouse lawn.

In 2011, Monroe Main Street and Monroe Chamber of Commerce worked together to raise funds to light the Christmas tree for the first time in more than 20 years.

For each $25 donation, a string of lights will be purchased. Donations will also be accepted or a $1 bulb can be purchased at numerous businesses around Monroe.

Tax deductible donations can be mailed to: Jo Anne's Dress Shop, 1618 11th St., Monroe, WI 53566. Checks should be made payable to "Main Street Monroe.'
