DARLINGTON — Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County (MHLC) announced today that it will launch a rebranding initiative to coincide with its expansion into a larger facility. The rebranding will include a new name and logo and will be led by a committee of hospital staff members, with involvement from the community. MHLC is partnering with Greenleaf Media, a Madison-based branding and marketing agency, to develop and execute the rebranding.

“Our new, modern facility will rejuvenate MHLC and Lafayette County and lead us into the future,” says Kathy Kuepers, CEO at MHLC. “This rebranding will reflect our vision of ensuring quality healthcare and economic growth for generations to come as well as honor our roots in the community. We are very proud of where we began and have been working diligently cultivating and strengthening our roots for the past 70 years”

The construction of MHLC’s new hospital and clinic is scheduled to start this summer and is expected to be providing services in the new space by spring 2025. The 81,000-square-foot facility will be located at 11493 Wis. 23 South and will include expanded service lines, space for behavioral health and mindfulness sessions and a state-of-the-art T3 MRI made possible by grant funding.

Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County (MHLC) was established in 1952 and continues to grow to meet the healthcare needs of citizens in Lafayette County and the surrounding area. As a critical access hospital, MHLC provides a full range of acute care inpatient and outpatient services. MHLC is unique in that it’s the only county-owned hospital in the state of Wisconsin.
