Jack Barker graduated from the U.S. Army Ranger School in Fort Benning, Georgia on Thursday, June 18. He returned from the Middle East last August after serving in Kuwait, Syria, Iraq and Qatar. He is a squad leader and heavy weapons instructor. Jack is currently a Staff Sergeant with the Wisconsin Army National Guard and employed as a State Trooper by the Wisconsin State Patrol. He is the son of Mike and Jan Barker of Warren, Ill. Ranger School is widely regarded as the pinnacle of Military leadership training, producing elite soldiers and leaders capable of executing complex missions in diverse and austere environments. It is one of the most physically and mentally demanding courses in the U.S. military. Graduates earn the coveted Ranger Tab, which is worn on their uniform for the remainder of their military careers.
