MONROE - For the 16th consecutive year, the Monroe Arts Center will present "MAC Radio Live Showcase of Talent" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 17 and Saturday, Jan. 18. Performances will be at the Monroe High School Performing Arts Center, 1600 26th St. The show will be broadcast Saturday night on Big Radio 93.7.
The annual event gives area performers a chance to showcase their talents in an evening of lively, family-oriented entertainment.
Directed by music and theater professionals Jean Adler Woolworth and Rich Woolworth, "MAC Radio Live Showcase of Talent" will be presented in the same style as a radio show. Emceed by Ron Spielman, the live variety show will include music, comedy, commercial jingles, as well as the on-stage house band Betty and the Bee Stings, conducted by Peggy Miller Sheffer.
