APPLETON - Carol Holmes, long-time volunteer at Green County Habitat for Humanity, was recently awarded volunteer of the year by Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin for the South West Region of Wisconsin during a volunteer awards banquet in Appleton.
Holmes was chosen from nominees from Habitat affiliates throughout the region. She is one of only six awardees from regions throughout Wisconsin.
"We are delighted to honor Carol Holmes for her outstanding work at Green County Habitat," Sara Kierzek, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin, said in a release. "She really is the driving force behind the success of the affiliate. She is an inspiration to all who work with her."
