It is unknown what event was going on in this undated photograph taken in the parking lot of the former Value Village. The Green County Historical Society plans an upcoming book called the Monroe Area Pictorial History. It will include more photos from the city of Monroe as well as the rural area, including farming, cheese factories, rural schools, roads, and more. It would be great to include photos of the Dog N Suds, the two McDonalds sitting next to each other, Kmart, a better photo of Value Village, the old Brennan's supermarket, the Eagle/Piggly Wiggly on the south side of town, Losberger's small grocery on Wis. 69 south of Monroe, Sentry, and more. If you have any answers about this photo or can allow us to copy any other photos, please contact Matt Figi at 325-6503 or mfigi48@tds.net.
