MONROE - As of Monday, people who need to go to the Green County Sheriff's Department will have to go through the Highway Department entrance to the west.

Green County Sheriff Randy Roderick said construction of the tunnel that will connect the sheriff's department to the new justice center begins Monday.

"The public will be instructed to use the Highway Department entrance," Roderick said. "Signs will direct traffic through the Highway Department's parking lot to the front of the sheriff's department, where there will be temporary visitor parking available."

Construction is expected to last for a month, Roderick said.
