DARLINGTON - A Darlington man was killed Thursday in a collision between a semi truck and a tractor on Wisconsin 81, Town of Seymour.
Charles T. Lattin, 65, was driving his tractor westbound on Wis. 81 at about 5:23 p.m. when he was struck from behind by a truck driven by Timothy D. Klaas, 45, Fennimore.
Lattin was thrown from his vehicle and was unresponsive. The Lafayette County Coroner's Office pronounced Lattin dead at the scene.
Klaas was treated for minor injuries at Lafayette County Memorial Hospital and was released later that day.
Wis. 81 was closed for several hours after the collision. County deputies, the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Darlington Fire Department, the Lafayette County Highway Department and Rural Medical Ambulance Service assisted on scene. The crash remains under investigation.
