MADISON - A South Wayne woman was listed in good condition Friday at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison following a one-vehicle accident Thursday.
Two Med-Flight helicopters transported Emily M. Rush, 26, Monroe, and her passenger, Carrie J. Smith, 28, South Wayne, to the hospital following a crash at about 7:22 p.m. on Bethel Road north of Franklin Road in Clarno township.
The hospital had no information about Rush.
Green County Sheriff's Department deputies report Rush was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo south on Bethel Road when the car left the road and rolled before coming to rest on its wheels in a field facing north.
Emergency response personnel extricated Rush and Smith as the Med-Flight helicopters were called to the scene.
Smith and Rush were both wearing seatbelts and the airbags in the car deployed, Hicks said.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
Bethel Road was closed to traffic at Patterson Road for a few hours following the crash.
Monroe Fire Department, Green County Emergency Medical Services and the Green County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene.
