MONROE - A vehicle driven by Jay M. Johnson, 29, Madison, hit a deer at about 6:45 a.m. Wednesday in the N3400 block of Wis. 69. The vehicle was driven from the scene.
A vehicle driven by Connie J. Liptow, 48, Brodhead, hit a deer at about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday on Wis. 11 at Lumberyard Road. The vehicle was driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported in a Amish buggy versus vehicle accident at about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday on Wis. 126 in Elk Grove township. Deputies report Elmer E. Stoltzfus, 14, Cuba City, was driving the buggy from a private driveway and failed to stop the horse as it came to the highway. Dustin J. Hilby, 22, Benton, driving on Wis. 126, passed the horse as it came to the end of the driveway, causing the horse to rear up and kick the side of Hilby's vehicle. Hilby's vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The horse received a leg injury; the buggy was not damaged.
A vehicle driven by Jeffery L. Hermanson, 22, Blanchardville, hit several cows at about 9 p.m. Wednesday on Wisconsin 78 in Argyle township. One cow was thrown into and shattered the windshield of the vehicle. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed from the scene. Neither Hermanson nor his passengers, Dan J. Boynton, 35, and Aidin L. Hermanson, 5 months, were injured. Argyle Fire Department and Argyle EMS assisted at the scene.
